Michael Gatto (Partner and head of the private side businesses at Silver Point Capital and author of The Credit Investor’s Handbook) will be coming to USC campus on Monday, October 6th from 6:00-7:30PM PT in JFF LL125 to speak about opportunities in the credit markets.

He will be discussing his current views on the credit markets, steps to be a great investor, and a fascinating special situations investing case study on the Hostess bankruptcy. This is an invaluable opportunity to hear from an expert and seasoned investor in the credit and distressed debt space.

About Michael: Michael Gatto joined Silver Point Capital, a credit-focused global investment firm, in 2002 and helped grow the business from $120mm of investable capital to ~$40Bn. Today, he is the head of the Firm’s Private Side Businesses. Prior to joining Silver Point, Michael worked at Goldman Sachs as a senior member within the Special Situations Investing Business. He is also an adjunct professor at Columbia Business School and Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business, where he teaches courses on credit analysis and distressed value & special situation investing.
